The people
behind the ARN

Ace Investment is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor based in Pune, working with families, salaried professionals, business owners and public trusts across Maharashtra.

Why we exist

Most people don't lose money in mutual funds because they picked a bad scheme. They lose it because nobody told them what the money was for, so they exited at the first drawdown — or because they held six funds that all owned the same thirty stocks and called it diversification.

Ace Investment was built to close that gap. We do the unglamorous part: mapping the goal, checking the overlap, calculating what you actually earned rather than what the factsheet advertises, and telling you to sit still when sitting still is the right call.

What "distributor" means, precisely

We are registered with AMFI under ARN-187131. That makes us a distributor of mutual fund schemes. It's worth being clear about what that does and doesn't mean:

  • We do not charge you a fee. Our income is trail commission paid by the Asset Management Company, disclosed as required under AMFI regulations.
  • We facilitate transactions, execute your instructions, and service the account — KYC, nominee changes, redemptions, statements.
  • We are not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser. Where you need formal, fee-based advisory covering your entire financial life, we'll say so and point you to one.

Being upfront about how we get paid is not a disclaimer we bury in the footer. It's the reason you can trust what we recommend.

How we select schemes

No star ratings, no last-year's-winner list. The screen runs on:

  • Rolling returns across multiple periods, not point-to-point returns that depend entirely on the start date.
  • Downside capture — how much of a fall the fund participated in, which matters more than upside for most portfolios.
  • Portfolio overlap against your existing holdings, so you aren't paying two expense ratios for one set of stocks.
  • Expense ratio and manager tenure, because costs are certain and continuity is a signal.

Who we work with

Salaried professionals building long-horizon SIPs. Business owners with lumpy cash flows who need a structure that survives an irregular income. Families planning for a child's education with a fixed date attached. And public charitable trusts, where Maharashtra Charity Commissioner Circular 619 permits a portion of corpus to be invested in equity mutual funds — a route many trusts still don't know is open to them.

Where we are

Pune, Maharashtra. Most of our work happens over video calls and WhatsApp, so location is rarely a constraint — but if you're local and would rather sit across a table, that's easily arranged.
